When a high school student can no longer beg for money from her mother, she is forced to get a babysitting job that reveals a deadly secret.
SYNOPSIS
Dani, a 16 year old high school student, is forced to get a job babysitting, in order to learn about
selflessness. Trying to “stick it” to her mother, she attempts to sabotage her own interview. Despite her best efforts, she is given the job and is tasked the same night to take care of Casey, a boy with night terrors. As the evening passes, Dani grows curious as to why she hasn’t seen Casey all night. Searching all around the house, she eventually finds him hiding in the upstairs hallway and realizes that he is not exactly a “little boy”. Scared for her life, Dani runs to escape from Casey's unthinkable appetite.
I have been working on this short horror-thriller for nearly 10 years and am excited to bring this screenplay to life.
I believe that this film has a chance to be well received by audiences due to its storytelling style, unique cinematography and overall theme.
Only when the main character sees and interacts with the objects. It allows the viewer to experience the situation as if they were sitting down in the character's place. Awkward silences and long pauses help tell the story through the absence of words.
Every shot and frame has been individually created in order to subconsciously feed the audience with the right amount of information, hinting towards the resolution of the story.
