Documentary short featuring the resilience and power of Akilah Love, a mom of 5, wife, entrepreneur and philanthropist, who survived a stroke and memory loss.
Every so often a story comes along and just gets to me. And when it has an element of hockey in it... I am totally invested.
When I met Akilah Love, I knew this was a story that I wanted to tell: a mother of 5, a wife, a business woman and a philanthropist,
Now add the heart ache of dealing with prejudices of being a woman of colour, a female business owner, immigrating to another country with no friends or family. How does somebody find the resiliency to over come all of this and still make a difference in the world?
That is what this short documentary will reveal - The DNA of LOVE.
